The design of a manufacturing
facility must provide unique flow paths for the movement
of personnel, equipment, material, etc. It is
preferable for these flow paths to be unidirectional and
non-overlapping. The room layout of a
manufacturing facility must facilitate these flow
requirements. Additional diagrams (see above) show
examples of specific facility flows.
